The Allman Brothers Band has taken on many incarnations in their incredible 45 year life span and Allman Brothers original posters are hot in today's marketplace.
Here we have the legendary group appearing at a benefit for the Bill Graham Foundation along with Alvin Youngblood Hart. The event took place in autumn 1996 at the Fillmore, and this original poster by artist Chris Shaw simply looks amazing!
I am the original owner of the poster and can say that from my recollection this was an interesting Allman Brothers band show as it was the first show WITHOUT Dickey Betts who was let go from the band, and I also remember being blown away that one of my favorite guitarists, STEVE KIMOCK came out to sit in for most of the show and played a pretty sweet "In Memory of Elisabeth Reed", so this Fillmore poster has some history behind it as a lot of The Fillmore Theater posters do. I think I even have a master audio tape of the show I recorded kicking around somewhere, but that is another story for another day.
