Philadelphia City Cavalry Guidon 1st Troop 223rd B Flags PCC

Description

Came out of a estate north of philly.  I could not get any more info than that.  I have a feeling they are wwii era but not earlier than WWI.  But I cant prove it.  Well made.  Material is thick almost burlap like.  Each letter and number is a separate piece.  They were found together.  The white material is discolored to a brown from age. 26.25 inches long by 15.25 inches wide. Machine stitched.  Nice thick brass gromments. The first troop pcc flag is double sided.  The other side single sided. No makers mark. The PCC flag has white paint on it as seen in the pics.   With the history of the PCC that it is most decorated unit in the US Army these would be a great research project.  Im in no hurry to get rid of them. They look great next to my other WWII items.  Thinking about clearing out a space behind my Afrika Korps NCO uniform to display these. I know Ill never see another set.
