    382 x 559 mm. Signed "Klauber Cath[olicus] Sc. et exc. Aug. Vind" in the plate. A fine impression on laid paper
    Instruments depicted include a keyboard; organ; gamba; lute; violins; lyre; wind including panpipes, alphorn, and bagpipe; brass including trumpets and trombones; and drums. Contemporary musicians depicted to the right of the image include a singer, with allegorical figures from mythology and history depicted to the left and angels and putti playing various instruments in the sky. Two assistants hold a large sheet of music manuscript paper before the King.
    Slightly worn, browned, and foxed; small area at upper right corner lacking and completed with blank paper; several tears professionally repaired.
    The present image is the first of a set of engravings devoted to the Seven Liberal Arts. The Klauber family were active as engravers in Augsburg in the 18th century
