This is a high quality lithograph reproduction concert poster for the Jimi Hendrix Experience appearance in Stuttgart Germany January 15 1969. Jimi Hendrix is considered one of the greatest and most influential guitarists in rock music history. Hendrix was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005. His star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was dedicated in 1994 and Rolling Stone Magazine named Hendrix number 1 on their list of 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time in 2003.
This memorable tour was the last European tour for Experience, with Noel Redding announcing he quit the band in July of that year. A magnificent poster by the master of European poster art Gunther Kieser, the classic 'Wirehead Jimi' image. This poster is plate 3.185 on p 311 in the book 'The Art of Rock', the concert poster bible. This poster announces what was sure to be a fantastic show, with Jimi spreading his wings after the release of Electric Ladyland which went far beyond anything that he had attempted to achieve before. This historic poster from this show of that memorable last Experience European tour is a high quality offset lithograph reproduction on heavy stock, measures approx. 13 x 19" and is in mint condition.
