Gene Marshall Fit For A Queen Mel Odom Ashton Drake from 2004 NRFB #304

Description

This auction is for Gene Marshall Fit For A Queen by Mel Odom for Ashton Drake from 2004 numbered 304 NRFB.  Gene is wearing a circa 1948 tailored heather toned wool tweed suit with detachable cape.  The suit jacket has a silver tone brooch sewn on the lapel. Her sleeveless blouse is aqua charmeuse with a cowl neckline.  She has faux alligator high heels and a matching handbag.  A jaunty brown hat completes her outfit.  Her travel case also has faux alligator trim.  Accessory outfit pieces include a blue satin skirt with a taupe/blue chiffon overlay skirt with a fluted hemline and a matching chiffon wrap.  The skirt has an attached brown charmeuse sash with a brooch sewn on that is the same design as the brooch on her jacket lapel.  Included in the accessory outfit pieces is a pair of aqua blue high heels that have a small faux pearl accent, a pair of panty hose and a pair of faux pearl dangle earrings.  The story card incorrectly describes the earrings and shoes as taupe colored.  This costume was created by Lynne Day.  Her stand, story card and a two sided scrapbook page are included.
