You are bidding on (7" x 8-3/4") CHOPIN unusual FACSIMILE REPRODUCTION oblong folio bound in red morocco of 7/8 Songs and one piano piece of 3 pages, Nocturne in C-sharp minor (Lento con gran expressione).
The name of MARIA (Wodzinska 1819-1896) in Gothic gold with gilt tooling around the front and rear covers. The original folio was  in the possession of Maria's niece, Mme. Orpiszewska.

The facsimiles give one a good example of Chopin's manuscript at the age of 27. Chopin and Maria's portraits have light foxing.
WORLDCAT lists only ONE copy.
FOLIO in excellent condition with one bump see in last photo. An unusual find.
From Walker's book,
" He not only acquired the autographs but also got Ludwika to copy out 7 of his Polish Songs, together with his "Lento con gran expressione" (1830), for Maria. After proofing everything Chopin placed these manuscripts in an elegant red leather-bound volume with Maria's name inscribed in an elegant red leather-bound volume with Maria's name inscribed on the cover in gold letters and sent the collection to Sluzewo."
