Offered here is a rare antique from circa 1920's a important terracotta piano bust of Frederic Chopin classic music composer. Vienna

Adolphe Jean Lavergne for Goldscheider ceramics Vienna.
The bust in very good condition
without
cracks. Artist signed in mold ''Lavergne'', on back marked with
numerals
probably date code for 1923 and mold numbers.
Attributed
to Goldscheider in my opinion, no trade mark but
unmistakable
pice by material and look
finished
in bronze tone fine ceramic. It is very good
preserved
with some marks and surface scratches du to age. See photos.
Found at an estate sale in Vienna Austria. Not sure of its history other then it came from an estate of a world traveler and antiques collector.
