    Description

Allman Brothers Beacon Theater poster 2009 autographed by all guests.
This is quite the treasure- recently uncovered in a stack of collectibles from the road, all gathered by Kirk West, tour mystic of the Allman Brothers Band. It comes with a letter of authenticity from the source. Kirk was given the task to get every guest at the 2009 Beacon Theater run to sign a total of 3 dozen event posters. They were given out to the band members, management, various dignitaries, and any guest musicians who requested one. Kirk got one and this is it!
The Allman Brothers established a tradition of multiple shows in March at the Beacon in New York City. There were many memorable shows but the 2009 run had to be the pinnacle. Even Gregg Allman, who was typically tired and ready to go home at the end of the run, was quoted as saying he could do 10 more nights of this stuff! The band had guests musicians every night except one, many with a long time connection to the band. Typically two or three guests played each night, all of it documented on a cd box set released the following year. The Eric Clapton appearance must have been the highlight considering his connection to Duane Allman and the making of Layla and Other Love Songs. Clapton sat in two nights and played 6 or 7 songs each night including Why Does Love Got To Be so Sad and Layla.
This poster has been stored flat since it was signed by the musicians and is in excellent condition. It's a screen print by famed poster artist Jeff Wood who signed and numbered the poster. It will ship fully insured in a heavy duty, wide carpet tube.
