    Description

i had the great fortune to meet the allman brothers band members when danny toler joined them in 1979. he let me into their inner circle. i later became friends with him and the gregg allman band management called strike force. lisa herandez and carol kinsel introduced me to alex hodges and bud synder who managed greggs tours and all. i was trying to get the newly formed gregg allman band to play at my college for homecoming. i joined the planning committee and it came down to an all school vote between the gregg allman band and the nitty gritty dirt band. i lost. the gregg allman band did not have an album so lisa hernandez agreed to send me some demos that gregg and the band  had made. it was 1985 and the gregg allman band had been playing for a 3 years. for sale here is a letter that confirms that  gregg allman band recorded songs that were never released. there were 6 songs on this demo and they were very well done. anything goes and faces without names made it onto the" im no angle" album. i heard them play at least 3 of the other songs in concert that were never released on an album. I even have  live bootleg cassettes of these songs. i cant release these songs because i dont have the rights to them. one is a danny toler written instrumental which is mezmorizing .. another song has a great horn section playing. alex hodges knows this demo exists but he never did anything with the songs that i know of. if you know alex or if alex reads this... please contact me . the letter for sale here is a copy of the original. i will only sell 10 total. if you saw the gregg allman band from 1982 - 1986 you probably heard several of these songs. the danny toler song was always played at the end of the show and required 3 guitarists. bruce waibel was playing lead  along side danny so....to do this song ......the guitar tuner would come on stage and play the 3rd guitar part. i call this song dannys song.  in 1986 greg vorhees ( bass player) left the band. bruce waibel took on the role of bass player and dan toler became the only guitarist. so after 1986 they never played this fantastic song again.  i meant to ask danny what they called the song but i always forgot. out of dougs allman cave. ships to lower 48 states only. thank you danny toler. i miss you and the band. doug mckee an allman brothers band museum owner. i saw the gregg allman band over 200 times. they were great. jack peason even joined them for several  shows in 1994. i could go on.....
