In the 40's, and 50's before the advent of overseas airline travel, cruise ships were the primary mode of travel. Cruise ships today are all owned by a few companies, and these relics will continue to increase in value.
This lot includes 21 all different swizzle stir sticks from Cruise Lines, Yacht Clubs, Marinas & Riverboats. As you can see most are not in service any longer.
CANADA STEAMSHIP LINES SAGUENAY RIVER CRUISE:
They operated cruises on the Saguenay River in Quebec until they ceased operations in 1965.
HOME LINES,
an Italian line started in 1946 and ceased operations in 1988 when it merged with Holland America.
LINE A  "C,,
Costa Rican Cruise Line acquired by Carnival in 2000
SUN LINE
provides local tours out of Tampa Bay.
TSS Mardi Gras
Empress of  Canada cruised between Liverpool and Canada from 1960 to 1971
Holland America Line S.E.A.
operated from 1873 to 1989 when it was purchased by Carnival. It was a Dutch passenger line that transported many emigrants from the Netherlands.
Deutsche Atlantik Linie
was a German ship that operated from 1966 until it ceased operation in 1971
NORDDEUTSCHER LLOYD BREMEN
was a very large German company founded in 1857 that merged with Hamburg America in 1970
FRENCH LINE C. G. T.
long history began in 1864, and ended when the crew mutinied on the last cruise in 1974
HELLENIC MEDITERRANEAN LINES
offers Adriatic Sea ferry service from Italy to Greece, as well as various Greek Islands
United States Lines
was withdrawn from service in 1969. She is presently docked along the Delaware River in South Philadelphia.
