    Description

This is a 1999 Gene Doll costume called "On the Veranda". It was an Parkwest Spring Exclusive, and it was designed by Lynne Day. This is a very rare costume, because it was not mass distributed. And even more rare, the COA was signed by hand by Mel Odom, the creator of Gene. This one is in the original box, never removed.
"On the Veranda" is a romantic tea length peach dress, circa 1955. The s ilk underdress has a strapless sweetheart neckline softly overlaid by a sheer veiling of peach organza. Full gathered translucent sleeves and a satin Peter Pan collar accented with a leafy flower lends a delicaate, ladylike beauty to the ensemble. The silk and organza skirt blooms with silk flowers over a full crinoline of peach tulle. A sweeping satin bow and sash prettily accent the back. A matching picture hat, lace up satin shoes and pearl earrings complete the outfit. It come in the original box with a booklet, wrist tag, and a COA that was signed by hand by Mel Odom, the creator of Gene. All in pristine condition, with NO STAINS, TEARS, OR ODORS. And, FREE SHIPPING!!
